Victorian Inventions

This month we looked at the Victorians and all their fascinating inventions. Firstly we turned into photo detectives to look closely at photographs taken in the Victorian period and tried to work out the date range for the photos and what inventions gave us the evidence for the date. Not as easy as you think!

We followed this detective work with two activities, making a pinhole camera and making a Thaumatrope, both were great fun to make as you can see, although they proved a little tricky to use once they were made!

A good time was had by all and we definitely discovered that the Victorians certainly knew a thing or two about inventions.
